政府が明日、憲法解釈を変更して集団的自衛権の行使を容認する閣議決定を行うことに対し、首相官邸の前では、緊急の大規模な抗議活動が行われた。ドラムの音にあわせて、「憲法壊すな」「戦争反対」などと訴えた。明日も同様の抗議が行われる。　　
　
３０日午後６時半からの予定だった抗議行動は、午後４時半頃から続々と人が集まり、予定より１時間近く早い午後５時半過ぎから始まった。参加者は、「ノーファシズム」「解釈改憲許さない」「閣議決定絶対反対」など思い思いのメッセージが書かれたプラカードを掲げ、「安倍は辞めろ」「憲法守れ」と声をあげた。
　
参加者は主催者発表で１万人。官邸前の歩道に集まった人たちが熱気を帯び、官邸前に歩道に大きく広がった。長野の駒ケ根から早朝のバスで駆けつけたという７０代の男性は、「孫のことを考えてやってきた。後悔したくなかった。」と話し、抗議行動に参加した。
　
また、福島県三春町から駆けつけた武藤類子さんは、「閣議決定だけで決めて命を危険にさらすのは許さない。海外に兵隊を出すのではなく、原発事故の収束を考えなくてはいけない」と訴えた。
　
抗議行動は夜０時まで続いた。

The prospects of a more aggressive military stance have faced growing opposition at home. On Sunday, a man set himself ablaze at a busy Tokyo intersection in a rare show of protest. The shift is also expected to deepen tensions between Japan and China over a chain of islands, which they both claim.
